Music, song, dance, storytelling, customs and traditions: The traditional folk arts have been a huge part of the rich and diverse cultural landscape of the UK for hundreds of years. We're here to make sure they don't die out.
But we need your help.
Could you consider making a regular donation to support our work? As a charity, we rely on our generous supporters to help us achieve our vision of keeping the folk arts flourishing for future generations. Regular gifts help us to plan our work and ensure that folk music, education, song and dance remains well-supported.
We believe that everyone should be able to learn about and participate in the folk arts. We’d like every person in England to have the opportunity to experience folk for themselves, and to love it as much as we all do.
As well as running a vibrant programme at our headquarters, the Grade II listed Cecil Sharp House in north London, we also work across the country with schools, museums, independent teachers and many more partners, and we safeguard the nation’s priceless folk treasures in the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library.
If you could consider making a regular donation of £10 a month, you would be making a huge investment in the future of folk.
