There’s never been a better time to support folk.
If you would like to support the next generation of folk artists, there are several ways you can help us.
Your gift will mean that more people can join in the folk arts, more folk teachers will be supported, and more artists will receive help at crucial stages in their careers. You can choose to give to a specific department using the tiles on the right, or tell us to use your help wherever the need is greatest.
We’re here to make sure that future generations are able to love folk as much as we do.
But we need your help.
Every donation you make between now and August is matched by Arts Council England – so you can double your gift without having to do anything extra!
Ever since Cecil Sharp House opened in 1932, our Vaughan Williams Memorial Library has looked after our folk treasures. From Cecil Sharp’s own field notebooks to William Kimber’s morris bells, not to mention books dating back to the 17th century, it is an essential resource for anyone interested in folk.
Recently, thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters leaving gifts to EFDSS in their wills, we have been able to create a dedicated archive space in the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library, install a lift in Cecil Sharp House, employ a Dance Development Manager, and much more.
