"This is the best ongoing musical experience of my life"

Member of Cecil Sharp House Choir

Who is the Choir for?

The Choir is for confident singers over the age of 16 who are able to hold a tune, willing to memorise song lyrics and vocal parts, and committed to performing. We do not hold auditions but there is currently a waiting list. There's no need to read music as all songs are taught by ear and performed from memory.

When does the Choir meet?

Wednesday evenings, 7-9pm

Autumn term: Wednesdays 20 September – 13 December 2017 (no session 25 Oct)
Spring term: Wednesday 3 January - 21 March 2018 (no half term break)
Summer term: Wednesday 18 April - 11 July 2018 (no session on 30 May)

Term fee: £82 | £66 concessions

Annual fee: £234 | £186 concessions

How can I take part?

Due to the popularity of the Cecil Sharp House Choir, places are currently allocated through a waiting list. To be added to this list, please submit our online registration form. Please note that the waiting list for the choir is currently quite long and, as such, it can take a few terms before a space becomes available.

We currently run two other singing groups you may be interested in: our Song class and the Monday Folk Choir Workshops. Many of those on the waiting list for the Cecil Sharp House Choir attend one or both of these classes.
