This major investment of public money into the folk arts will be transformative for the sector, representing over £100,000 in extra funding.
Of course, we can’t get there without help from our friends. We've started the Future of Folk fund because we need support to unlock this extra investment. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we've raised £50,000 already, but we still have some way to go. If we meet our target, it will unlock this once in a generation investment of an extra £100,000 to invest in folk music, song and dance.
With this support, so many more people will be able to join in the folk arts, and many more folk teachers could be supported, and many more artists could receive help at crucial stages in their careers.
